Ingles III

The subject that I’ve enjoyed the most this semester is “Workshop on Recovery and Remediation of Degraded Natural Resources”. At first, in the class we were taught about water treatment, soil conservation and techniques for the conservation of biodiversity. Later, we had to work in pairs, choosing a place in Chile where the human has deteriorated the environment and researching ways to recover and remedy the territory. I liked this subject because I got the chance to research and learn about the Cochamó valley and the ways we can remedy the nature and the ecosystems of the location, also I liked this subject because in the future I would love to work in conservation organizations, because there’s a lot of species that are in danger and I would like to contribute to make their environment a better place to live, reproduce and interact with other living creatures.

A website that I enjoy visiting is the Ladera Sur website, in there I can find a lot of information about nature, animals and the environment, I like it because in my career I have to work with environmental problems that exist in our country, and on the website I can stay informed about that topic, that is why I visit it at least once a week. On the top of the platform there’s different categories like “Articles” or “Destinations”, then in the middle shows the featured topics, like news or articles, also there is an easy way to find the things that you are looking for in the section that says How to help? or Where to go? I would recommend the website https://laderasur.com/ to everyone who is interested in the environment, the planet and its diverse forms of life, because it’s easy to use and provides good information.
